Forefather Darius McCall is the legendary founder and first president of Zeta Sigma Psi during the early Fall of 1999. He along with student advisor, Tim Albert, was sitting in the hallway working on a new name for the fraternity. The struggle was great, but at the end, Albert and McCall came up with a name, Zeta Sigma Psi and it was the beginning of a new local in Greek history. After the search for a new name, they decided on several hand signals and came up with one that represent the Psi of the organization. When also searching for a mascot, many were upon request but then were already accepted by other fraternities and sororities of world. The Black Stallion was made then a trademark of the organization for its strength, stubbornness, and pride to climb up that mountain of high hopes. This information was presented to Forefather Alfie Lumabas who was pleased with the idea and name of the organization. Mr. McCall and Mr. Lumabas appointed 4 new forefathers each, which brought up to total of 10 Forefathers. Thus, the 10 Diamonds began digging hole for making the new fraternity recognized around the campus. |
